Where has this “Turnbull was a Hilton mouthpiece” come from? He made that poor statement about fan protests under Swann, but I have some sympathy given the circumstances. There was a lot of worry over the future of the club and Swann would have pressured him.
Under Hilton he was very quiet, and I suspect not keen on what was being done to the club by that wrecker. However, from what has been said on podcasts since it was clear that himself, Michelle and Roj worked their socks off to sort out the mess left by Hilton. For that alone he deserves thanks and respect, alongside many years of loyal work.
