After 12 games last season under Dean we had 20 points. This season under Butler we have 25 whilst only conceding a whopping total of 5 goals.

I know which start I’d rather have!

Your maths is wrong, that should’ve been 21 v 25 BLT, and after yesterday’s result 24 v 25. So we are one point better off than last season, similar starts but we were putting in some belting performances this time last year, bagging 5 and 6 goals, far more entertaining to watch, despite looking down the barrel of a gun with our ownership and ground issues.

The big difference though, is that last season our results were fairly scattered i.e we would win a couple then lose one, draw one, win a few again and so on…

This season we’ve had a very strong start (results wise) and have fallen off a cliff with only 2 wins in the last nine and those came from; Newcastle town, two divisions below us, and Rushall Olympic, the worst team I’ve seen in this league both this season and last. Also our strong start arguably flattered to deceive. Did we really deserve the three points against Curzon or Needham? Even shields? We were lucky to nick a point against Chorley. How many games this year has the consensus been ‘poor performance but take the point/s’?

I know which start I’d rather have and it’s not one in which we’ve been ‘sussed’ and can no longer buy a win.
