At some point, we are going to have to realise that just changing all the players every 6 months isn’t going to solve our problems. Where’s the coaching? When is a manager going to improve some players and get more out of them? What about the people signing the players and scouting new ones?
This endless churn just creates instability.
The coaching aspect is a good point. We’ve had players look utter dross or bang average and go on to significantly improve elsewhere. Hill/Hurst in particular are good football league managers, why could they not turn the tide?
Our failures are systemic and pass from one manager to the next and one group of players to the next. Hopefully Hilton can change the culture at the club; No mean feat.
