Beestin has picked up injury after injury and even before his spate of injuries he was declining. Only reason I’d keep O’Malley is because he’s got a good enough quality left foot and is versatile which we’ll need for next season.
I will however say I don’t think he’s a full back but having utility players with good enough ability who can cover 3 or 4 positions can’t be so easily dismissed.
I thought he did pretty well in CM under Nelson when we were hit with injuries. I don’t think Dean rates him anyway so don’t think he’ll be staying around regardless of what I think.
