Our midfield has been in decline over the past few seasons but I strongly believe this is the worst midfield we have had over the last sixty odd years. Can’t understand why Pugh has been given a contract, he’s a liability and didn’t understand why Dean let Whitehouse go out on loan. I hope we keep Whitehouse and Butterfield and do hope Ogle stays. Robertson looks promising as does Shrimpton but I don’t believe that they are good enough or have enough experience to be first choices. I’m not sure on Beeston although he did look to be improving until injured and I think if O’Malley plays definitely not as full-back but played more as a winger, his crosses and free kicks are his best attributes.
