Well i think it was a combination of luck,investment and decent manager /ownership .
We were the 6th best team when we went up but played well in 3 cup finals so that was partly luck for sure .
The budget was about 3mil with the co owners investing 1.5 -that wasnt just playing budget .
Somebody did a spreadsheet i think we had the 4/5th highest budget and that was just to scrape in the play offs wrexham ,Notts ,Chesterfield and Stockport had 4-6mil budgets which seems insane really .
I just dont get how you would go right through with a sustainable model unless you managed to somehow raise a few million quid every year ?
Crowds won’t be as high as some are expecting next season.
We will be marooned at NL / NLN or lower for the foreseeable future.
We will not have the money to get back to the EFL.
