I said he owns everything; however, the stadium is under Scunthorpe United LTD and the land may be under a different company that Hilton own. A company that will look to develop the land for the club’s benefit as he stated.
Like I said, I may well have interpreted it wrong, but it was something I picked up on.
That is how I interpreted it too, Cliff.
If that is how it is, it boils down to whether we trust the new owner more than we did the former owner with that.
My view on that is that I’d rather the club be where it is now than where it was a week ago.
The longer term plan must be to develop much of the land around the ground (obviously with the acquiescence of the planning authority) and maybe the end game would be to relocate the ground (across the road?).
