At what point did I mention stopping supporting? Guff like that is why I don’t post very often.
This is the club I stared to support 40 years ago and I’ve seen plenty of ups and downs (more downs than ups). It would make no difference what division we were in (as it happens I would rather support a national league team than a premier league team as I think those values are closer to my own). There is however a matter of pride in the team, club, town, people and values of the club and area that currently seems on short supply. I for one would prefer to see that restored and respect those that tried to uphold those values. Maybe it’s too much to ask of those who are after all employees of a company, after all how many of us would give the same at our work?
For what it’s worth ant to risk talking about footballing matters…
I think we have a decent manager who with some backing could get us moving in the right direction
I think we have played some dreadful football over the past 3 years and have recruited in a haphazard (at best) and negligent(at worst) fashion, resulting in many people choosing to spend hard earned cash on other activities
There has been a lot of big announcements that have got fans excited but failed to materialise, contributing to people choosing to spend money on other areas
A rather large debt built up resulting in assets being sold to pay for them (we just have to hope that the sentiment that we need not worry, all is safe is correct)
But to keep to the thread… disappointing players choose clubs lower down the pyramid than us for either monetary or professional reasons. Makes the recruitment job even more challenging?

And I wholeheartedly agree…

I don’t get some people at all

Peace to all 🤝
