Yes it was a good plan ferrite, enjoyed the three years where we gave it a good go to get promoted, not enjoying it very much at the moment but that’s football. Can’t imagine any owner who is not pilloried with the prospect of losing lge status,and lots achieve it as well, most owners don’t survive afterwards, must admit it’s hard to be optimistic at the moment but I will try to be.
Lots of clubs have aimed for the stars and ended up in the gutter. It may be fun along the way but that doesn’t mean it’s a good way to run a club.
I’d have much more confidence about the future if I could see more evidence of efforts off the pitch to maximise the club’s potential: instead of just putting the blame on stay-away fans, I’d love to see more in the way of fan engagement, trying to grow crowds and therefore benefit the club. Maybe it is happening but it’s hard to see from the outside. We’ve all said these things about the quality of the kits (something which does seem to have improved), the quality of the food & drink, all those little things that make a big difference.
