The fact that too many are much of a muchness will be his principal concern.
Perry looked a different player to the one dropped after Mansfield. Beestin was showing improvement too.
An ancient problem reared its ugly head, however. The defence played well enough, I suppose, but look at all the pressure it had to face with the failings of the midfield in front of it. Hole after hole opened up and we could easily have lost by half a dozen.
The lads grafted well but, once again, intelligence was so often found to be lacking.
