My take on it is that he had no idea what was going on. So I don’t for one minute believe he felt obligated to do anything.
More that it is not an issue in the Ukraine. I’ve never been to Kiev so I can’t comment on race relations in that part of Europe.
What I care about is that my country is seen as being anti-racist and am therefore proud to see the national team showing their continued support.
