As a white, middle-aged football fan who has never experienced racism directed towards my ethnicity nor heritage, I will never truly understand what those affected by racism and inequality have experienced.
I am totally against racism, and support 100% any gesture or action that brings it to the attention of the wider public. If a player chooses to take a knee to express their disgust at racism then I will support them without a second thought.
Sadly you only need to look at social media to realise that racism is still alive, and in some corners, thriving. If taking a knee keeps it in the public eye then I am all for it. After all, it only truly offends those who are offended by anti-racism, and you know what that makes them!
