The obvious answer is most certainly yes. I know he was dealt a shit hand, and he’s had an absolutely horrendous time with injuries (But which Scunny Manager over the last 20 years of so hasn’t had that part?!) However countless Managers across every Division has been sacked over the years while performing much, much better.
Unless the plan is to continually hope that each season there will be at least 2 teams that are somehow worse than us and we can keep escaping by the skin of our teeth (Which I’m sure we’d all agree is an extremely risky strategy!) Then he needs to go, and go now in order to give the new guy the best possible chance to make sure we don’t have another train wreck of a season like we’ve all just had to endure…
