The issue with the players dropping off in terms of motivation and work rate has conveniently started when allegedly contracts have been offered/withdrawn. We saw it when we were top of league one and no we’ve seen it with these no hopers.
Its only an assumption, but is Cox waiting until we are mathematically safe before making the wholesale changes?
Sacking him at this stage is a pointless endeavour. I’m far from convinced thus far with his tactical ability but at least he has had a year to work with the core squad whom will be here next year and will have some understanding on additions needed. The signings under his stewardship of Karacan and Taft were a vast improvement on the dross bought during the summer and there appears to be a working relationship with Swann JR and the transfer committee- which is an achievement in itself.
The outcome whoever in charge seems inevitable regardless.
