Enjoy
I remember it well, and the disappointment away at West Brom where we were desperately unlucky to lose 1 – 0.

I wonder which one of the Swann clan will get the job. Body can and mic built into the costume in case any member of staff dares to question the board…
We do require a few more players, especially in defence. But I don’t see us getting relegated this season…
Try 4 or 5 players.
Can you seriously not see us relegated with Swann and Hill still in their positions come the end of the season ?
To be honest I like KH, it must be a nightmare having to work with such restrictions. I can’t see him getting four or five more players, because the Swanns won’t let him spend the money required. I hope they do leave, and wish they would hurry the feck up. That is my opinion anyway.
I thought the whole point of it was to have aggro with like-minded casuals, not harass the ‘scarfers’. If they must do this, why not save it for something away from the ground with Chesterfield, Oldham, Wrexham, Notts County or other clubs who have firms, not some club like Solihull, who I can’t imagine having a hooligan element?
Indeed, save the agro for when face by other nutters out for a fight. I get it that sometimes things get heated, but that is not an excuse for attacking innocent oppo supporters.
Nuttall had a great match, until he got tired. Two goals and one assist, I can’t wait to see him when he is fully fit.

The only positive I got from today is that Nuttall is becoming a complete handful. I’m guessing he ran out of puff, so he could get fitter and better as the season goes on.
Keep em crossed UTBI

Liverpool are the most full of shit side in the word of football. On a par with the codheads. The so called ‘fans’ are even worse. I’d much rather see city win the league than scouse gits every time…

West Indian restaurants usually sell curry goat. Not as spicy as Indian curry but makes a nice change, especially with jerk chicken and rice and peas.

If I remember correctly we wore red shirts and shorts back in the 1970’s, much more like Liverpool than Man U.
Living on Jackson Road, I was so close I could hear the noise coming out of the OSG from the reserve matches.
Happy days…
Tommy Docherty, sacked for shagging the physio’a wife. Didn’t he beat Liverpool in the FA Cup final? Lol.
We left Manchester 69/70 when they closed the steelworks in Irlam. Dad was on the blast furnace there. We came to Scunny and he got groovy jobs on the Anchor Site then the Pit Arch Plant.
So I support two teams, but it’s The Iron first.
I did mention Man Utd specifically, I did not ‘allude’ to anyone. And for the record they are my second favourite team.
I do see parallels between the two clubs, but only scant. If we could go out and buy a top DCM, I doubt Iron fans would be moaning about the fact that he is 30 years old. But that is the premiership for ya! Doesn’t matter if it is Utd, Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs. So many plastic ‘fans,’ so many self entitled Karens. In fact I preferred United when Big Ron was in charge. Because of Fergie too many kids walking round Brighton in red and white. Not me, I preferred claret & blue.

I will be putting my tuppence ha’penny on a draw. Simply because it has to happen sometime or another.

Looks like the 2nd wealthiest man in the UK (55th in the world) is after buying Man U.
That will prolly take ages. In the mean time Scunny are going to have to get someone to buy The Iron, lock stock etc.
We don’t want Mr Swine to send us to the NLN. It’s time to pack up and foff piggy eyed twat.

Kieth has proven himself to be a good, albeit not great, manager of originally struggling teams. I still believe that Swine has made it more or less impossible for him to build an even half decent squad.
It’s the same story, I don’t know when it will change, if it ever will change. We can go all the way back to Mark Robbins, or ‘Bobbins’ as some here would call him. So many managers who were with fired or force to resign.
Funny how many of these ‘bad managers’ became at least decent when they left behind the toxic environment that is Glanford Park.
Swine out. UTBI.
Didn’t George Kerr say something like, “He will either play for Real Madrid or a Sunday pub team?’
Closer to the latter than the former!
This was a man with more footballing skills than we have seen in decades. For us he could give 9/10 performances which made you gasp with delight but could barely average 5/10 over any sustained period of time.
If I’d had those talents at his age, I’d have turned into a seriously wealthy man today. (Possibly with an eye on purchasing a certain much-loved football club.)
Sigh.
Waste of innate ability from pupils was something which gutted me more than any other single factor over all the years I was involved in education.
Interesting how both Palace and W. Ham were not bothered about keeping him, innit? You didn’t teach at Foxhills, did you?
And the Iron are stuck on Jacob’s Ladder….
I didn’t see the match, just listened to the commentary. But there was apparently two moments where (I think Boyce) left the ball expecting the goalie to come out of his area to collect it.
Was he hoping to start a run and be fed the ball from just outside the area, or was he just being lazy?
It’s going to take a lot longer to asset strip Man Utd to the levels that we are experiencing here at Scunthorpe. But the Glazers are unpicking them with massive impunity. They might well have to spend a season in the Championship before the corporate types stop propping up the whole shooting match. The Iron could well have recovered from the damage inflicted by Herr Swann before Man U even begin to free themselves of the Glazers. Perhaps we will one season play them in the league. Football wreaks these days, and is set to do so for many years to come. 😔
I don’t care about swallows, a much ‘larger’ bird needs to F off!

Two league goals are enough to be joint top scorer, according to today’s figures.
That means that Nuttall is right up there. I do hope that Kieth continues to play him and Carver together up top, because he seems better with someone who can hold the ball and create havoc in amongst our opponents defence.
It’s working now!!
The others all seem to work, just not Maidenhead vs Scunthorpe. Really annoying 👎
Same, nothing but trouble this season…
Good luck Rory!

Aye, twin strike force with Prudence.
Ah Dear Prudence, will she ever come out to play?
The Beatles or Siouxsie and the Banshees?

Love a bit of Talking Heads bill, nice one.
Hopefully we are not on a Road to Nowhere!!

Didn’t make it with the monkey hangers in L2, but had been pretty tasty in NLN previously. I’m thinking that with us, in this league, he might have found his level.

I just sent a text to Lee T complimenting on the first half performance and said I hope we can sign Butterfield on today’s display and he replied with a
, so is this a hint
He tipped you a wink? Encouraging…
It would appear that we really need to get this man and pronto. The kind of player who could change everything.
He must be at least a little keen, otherwise why would he be playing in our pre season?
Gethim Kieth!! UTBI
