Time to ruin someone else’s management career
He didn’t turn up after kick off – has been confirmed by Alan Wright he talked to him in the tunnel at 2.10..
Glad it’s not just me…
Wouldn’t be half as effective – when companies are making massive profits, the cost of living is rising and wages aren’t increasing to match, good on them striking.
We have a lot to thank industrial action for – if the private sector paid what people are worth and took a bit less themselves, there wouldn’t be a need to strike.
By the same token, it will become a better place for the youngsters to play and grow – could do wonders for the likes of Gallimore, Wilson etc.

Irrelevant ‘newspaper’ anyway – good riddance
He has Beestin down as top goal scorer…
I think the main things KH brought in were the two needed most after Cox – experience and authority.
It was a perfect storm for Cox in his first role and I still feel sorry for him as I think it was the wrong first job. No-one would have kept us up last year, but I genuinely believe we have one of the best managers at this level who is putting a decent squad together on a shoestring.
Has done well in the lower Leagues before, 6ft 1 and knows the level – potebtially someone for Nuttall and another striker to play off, and gives us a bit more presence from set pieces.
People need to lower their expectations, and also stop judging players before they have got onto the pitch…

Northern Premier/Southern and Isthmian Leagues and below according to Wikipedia
Really good overview that, can’t believe it’s been that long since we last met them in the league!
Agreed – doubt us getting a small cut is anywhere near the top of the list in Grimsby’s considerations
Apparently so, would be fantastic to get some money for him just after Swann leaves…
Can’t imagine Rodwell is in a hurry to come back to GP, never heard a fan say a positive thibg about him and he constantly looked miserable to be here – Alexander was essentially a sacking.
Both curious timing but will eat my hat if either of them end up here.
Regardless of who comes in, it’s imperative that we put someone in place that knows how to run a football club as well as a business – Swann’s main downfall was that he didn’t and seemingly couldn’t admit that he makes mistakes.
People are talking about ex-players, filmmakers and businessmen coming in, but ultimately we need someone with the proper knowledge at the club otherwise we risk making the same mistakes as before.

From the players warming up it looks to me like we’re putting the kids out…
Never mind, spotted the grown ups

I genuinely think Nuttall will get into double figures this season – key for a lot of our players is getting a bit of confidence which will come with some decent performances, and something we were hugely lacking over the last couple of seasons.
We certainly need more upfront though, at the very least someone for Nuttall to play off. Also doesn’t hurt to have a bit of cover.

Says it all about our recruitment that Kenyon is now gracing the midfield of a bottom-half NLN club
2 new signings agreed according to Matt Dean on Twitter – Dewhurst and Bunney? Maybe the lad that played against Hudds U23’s?
If it is, got to wonder where the next signings are coming from…

Beggars can’t be choosers…
Surely boxes marked ‘Fragile’ must contain Swann Sr’s ego?

Hopes to have around 4 ‘experienced’ faces in the starting 11 by the 16th July, sounds like at least 2 of the current trialists will be offered deals – confirmed we have Nthle, Bunney, Whitehouse and Marcus Dewhurst (keeper from Sheff Utd) on trial
21 year old, on loan at Boston last season – not exactly the experience we need…

We seem to be attracting a better standard of staff than we are players

I mean if I suspected I’d have a squad of newly-graduated academy players next season I’d have probably started blooding them sooner rather than later too…
Worst manager ever is a stretch, he’s had a squad half full of rubbish and half full of wantaways.

If anyone is expecting anything other than aiming to survive next season, they are going to be very disappointed.
I’m just hoping that we have a squad of committed players and some more experience, regardless of whether they are perceived as a good signing or not.
Boyce is a decent start as he obviously wanted to come – however the longer the summer goes on, any signings made are likely ones that were probably hoping for other options, and that’s not what we need unless we want a repeat of the last couple of seasons. A keeper with experience is a must – McKeown would be a fantastic signing if he is settled in the area, but I’m still doubtful he would come to us due to his history up the road.
I’d rather have some ‘OK’ players that are going to put a shift in alongside our youngsters than someone who just sees us as a solution for a year or two because they couldn’t get a contract anywhere else. We’ve had too many of those players recently (and possible still have one or two on the books).

All of these rumours are coming from new Twitter accounts – I’d ignore anything you see, someone is on the wind up.
Same – almost complete lack of interest in football generally, really kicked in during last seasons struggles and never left. Luckily last weekend didn’t hit too hard as I had known it was coming for a while, but just hoping we can pull ourselves together (hopefully under new ownership) and at least give next season a good go and play some decent football.
Not holding my breath.
