“Many on the left want to defund the police” according to the more poisonous than Patel, Ms Braverman.

She must have missed the last 12 years when the Tories made savage cuts to police numbers.

“There is an interesting point in there, though. If someone has a minority view, they should be welcome to put forward their ideas without hassle”.

The point I was mischievously making! Emphasised again by Ms Truss and her ludicrous attempt to stifle argument through her invention of the anti growth coalition.

If she’s so sure, put it to a general election and we will see where the majority view is.

“The decisions should be in the hands of those (of us) who see the world as it really is .. saving people from themselves I reckon”.

If the majority view is the path to follow, we could have a referendum on God. What do you think JI?

The old nah nah nah nah nah argument. Good distraction tactics Bucks, stops you from even looking at the Tufton Street stuff, yet you will argue for ever on threads you start.

How about Truss getting 500k for her leadership bid when the rules state a maximum of 300k. What’s the point in rules if they are not going to be applied?

“Imagine if we have an extra customer base with about 400m people on our doorstep, imagine if we allowed the free movement of goods and services to and from them.would that grow the economy?”

There has been no bigger anti-growth coalition in this country over the past 6 years than the Brexiteers and the Tory party!

She’s too stupid to realise just how stupid she is.

“Anti growth coalition” creating an enemy is easier than being truthful, makes a change from directing us to immigration”

Totally pathetic trying to create a new enemy group out of anyone who disagrees with her, including many in her own party.

As if there isn’t enough division. Who has said that growth is bad?

She keeps banging on about a high wage economy, but the Tories always refuse to get involved in meaningful negotiations on pay to end disputes.

    They love strikes!!!

If that’s the only concession and they keep their jobs, they have got off very lightly. Still left with a very dangerous and dimwit PM. Their “growth” plan will be full off deregulation and cuts to public spending.

    Bucks wrong again!!

Brexit, low growth, crops destroyed, inflation, massive drop in exports to the EU, increased cost on imports, labour shortages, queues to leave the country, prime ministers that are a laughing stock, worst ever relations with the US, no control over the borders, restrictions on freedom of travel and much more rather than less so called red tape.

And now that we have a right wing Brexit Government of Truss, Kwasi, Re-smog, Bone, Redwood, Braveman, we see their true motives for Brexit. Reduce taxes for the rich, remove restrictions on bankers and hedge fund managers, cuts to benefits, scrapping of environmental and planning laws and higher mortgages.

2 weeks of Government and they have crashed the economy, made us a laughing stock, got rebukes from foreign leaders and bodies like the IMF and a leader who can’t string a sentence together.

Still got lots of German cars haven’t we.

I’m sure Bucks will be able to tell us all the benefits. Still waiting for one.

“it’s herd immunity that’s brought the pandemic to a halt, supported by excellent vaccines”.

Thanks for stating the bleeding obvious. We thickos would be all lost without your wisdom.

You forgot to state that you were rabbiting on about herd immunity BEFORE the first lockdown, which saved thousands of lives, and well BEFORE any vaccine.

    You were wrong.

Truss and her backers have clearly been sent scripts to talk about the measures to deal with the energy crisis, but to completely ignore any questions about the shitshow of tax cuts for the rich and the disaster it caused to the market and mortgages. Bucks has clearly read the memo.

Truss was absolutely useless in the round of radio interviews. She failed to answer questions on how they would assess local support for fracking. Might be because there won’t be any support.

She then repeatedly said that energy bills would be capped at a maximum of £2500. They won’t and some pensioners already believe they can have their heating on full blast because bills will be capped.

She couldn’t even give a straight answer about a needed hospital upgrade close to her constituency.

Dim witted, robotic speaking, and doesn’t know the details of her own policies.

The Tories have chosen well. Surprised if she survives much longer after the conference. Can’t wait for her “rousing” speech.

Us??? Such pomposity. Wasn’t aware that German leaders were keen readers of the forum.

“Anyone who believes Biden is doing a good job just has to look at his approval ratings”.

Anyone who thinks Truss is doing a good job, or as you say, should stand firm, just has to look at the approval ratings.

    Labour 54%, Tories 21%.

Agent Truss is just doing fine!!

“No problem scoring goals and we’re pretty strong in midfield. Only problem is we can’t keep them out and yet we go sign another CM”.

To describe any part of this losing team as “pretty strong” is way off the mark. Far more wrong than the “only problem “.

    2013–2014
    Yeovil Town 29(13)
    2014–2018
    Scunthorpe United 167(52)
    2018–2021
    Fleetwood Town 131(43)
    2021–
    Stockport County 57(30)

I would argue that the numbers above suggest Paddy has earnt his money. What you pay is important, but what value do they bring they is more important.

We’ve had pretty much sod all value from the signings over the last 3-4 years!!
