only one slip-up from Iron opens the door for them to step through

I’ll let you into a secret. Kidderminster are shitting themselves too.

Not much of a secret, I’m sure they are, but it’s always easier chasing than it is front-running.

Kidderminster will win the league. Sorry folks.

Have you got a time machine? We don’t know. Their run in has some banana skins. I wouldn’t rule Brackley out yet. Hard to see where they’ll slip up.

Why would I need a time machine? It was a prediction, but I mentioned last night in the Brackley v Kidderminster thread that I just felt they looked ominous, they’ve won two massive games in the last 8 days which realistically they shouldn’t have done, they’ve got huge momentum and it feels like everything is falling their way, their run-in isn’t tougher than ours in my view either and only one slip-up from Iron opens the door for them to step through.

‘I see some are still very positively exclaiming the “win all 6” tag line’

They’ll be the one’s screaming out when we don’t. Hope they don’t get left high and dry or it will be all Bru’s fault again.

I don’t get it, worse to me is how some people think that the title is done and dusted when it’s absolutely nip and tuck between FOUR teams?! It’s mad. It’s so tight that two bad results could mean a playoff Quarter Final and an away semi if we should be so lucky.

We need to keep our goal difference higher than Kidderminsters. It could be that tight.

    UTI

They’re one ahead currently (effectively two given their goals scored is significantly better), the late goal conceded on Saturday was massive.

I see some are still very positively exclaiming the “win all 6” tag line when in reality we wont do that ..not with KLT Spenny and Hereford to play all away.

Spenny is at home, hopefully the sheer weight of fixtures they have will overcome them.

Obviously the best result for us would have been a draw. While this result does mean Kiddy have a better goal difference and goals for, we have a 2 point gap. We just have to win on Saturday, and win well. Let’s focus on one game at a time. Will Whitehall be back for the weekend?

I’m starting to get the feeling he won’t be back at all.

That’s two weeks running that Kidderminster have won 1-0 despite not deserving to. More so tonight, Brackley battered them for 86 minutes. It’s very worrying, because Kidderminster are looking very ominous. What’s more, it seems the officials are doing everything they can to help them. The number of soft free kicks they were given tonight, whilst Brackley had a stonewall penalty turned down at the other end was staggering. To make matters worse, the culprit of the deliberate handball feigned a head injury and the referee blew his whistle just as Brackley were about to launch a cross into the box.

Iron are going to have to do it the hard way.

No Whitehall, but quite a strong lineup – which has me very nervous. A few of them lads should be in cotton wool until Saturday.

Look lads we’ve played well in the one game let’s not get carried away, remind me what did we play like at kiddie.

Disappointed in you there MK you should know better.

I’m not keen on the talk from some quarters (some on here, others on the socials) of it being pretty much done after Saturday.

Fact is, it’s far from done, Iron have six cup finals to play and as things currently stand they could need 6 wins.

I know I’ll feel a whole lot better if this fixture is drawn and it gives us the cushion of being allowed one slip up.

a draw would be marvelous .. as well as sendings off for both

Kiddy free scoring recently means their goal difference is now close to ours which may come into play later

Goal difference is now level, they’ve scored four goals more though so for now they hold that particular tie breaker.

what im seeing on the various YT vlogs and SM is that some Scunny fans are thinking because of yesterdays brilliant win we are almost certain to be champs .. one commenting its all but guaranteed us the title.

Yes we are in a decent spot and im more positive and optimistic than i was a while back but thoughts as above are all way way too premature..plenty of twists n turns in this story yet for sure.

    UTI

Agreed, talk of it being all but done is stupid, if there’s a winner on Tuesday it means the deficit is only one slip up away from Iron dropping off the top spot. There are 6 games to go and each one in its own way looks difficult.

Gareth’s vlog from last night is good, seem to be going for a world record of using the F word.

Having just found time to watch Gareths cinematic extravaganza it does appear we were utter gash and the performance was very lack luster being out played in every aspect …yet im still seeing some delusional SUFCFFB members saying it was a decent performance.

We are well in the title mix along with 3 or 4 others and maybe one surprise package sneaking up on the rails ..Saturday is now massive arguably the biggest game of the season so lets hope for once we turn up on the big occasion as in the past more often than not we have not in such circumstances.

    UTI

There’s no ‘arguably’ about it, Saturday IS the most important game of the season.

Winning it would be HUGE, because in doing so, it could more or less eliminate two sides from title contention – given Brackley or Kidderminster (or even both) will drop points on Tuesday.

I can’t bear to think about what will happen if it isn’t a win.

He was annoying the life out of me all night.

Turn it down and sync up with Humberside on BBC Sounds.

Good idea that, won’t have that concern the next two games atleast.
