In Butler’s aftermatch interview on Humberside, he said that Roberts would be OK for next week but Ewings bruised toe would have to have a second opinion because ‘radiographers can miss things’. Really? I know that we don’t need him out for more than necessary and that the days of playing on with a broken neck have long gone…but do we coddle these lads a tad too much?

A makeshift back 4 again and arguably you’re 2 best players out, you certainly take it. Exceptional work rate and endeavour to grind out 3 points, a characteristic that remains consistent for an Andy butler side.

If you’re being slightly critical you ask for abit more from whitehalll and beestin in the final third- not sure if Whitehall is being hampered by that knee injury as he doesn’t seem right to me.

A good run of fixtures for us to cement our place in the top 7 now. .

Couldn’t make it over to Scunny today but enjoyed Ollie and Torps on Humberside. Torps seemed pleased with the performance and glad Bernard and his Irish Iron cohorts experienced a win on their pilgrimage. Happy days. Up the mighty Iron.

Decent performance when we clicked and played at pace. Horton outstanding, calmness clearing his lines and good distribution and not afraid to bring the ball put. Westbrooke tidy and looks decent again. We continue to punch above out expectations. :-)

For whatever reason my memory collects odd information. Ex Officio’s comment about coddling players brought to mind a sad story – Dorothy Dandridge, a Hollywood and Broadway star died in 1965 aged 42 – cause of death was finally filed as fatty tissue in blood that caused an embolism. She had recently suffered a small fracture in a toe – fatty item was said to have been bone marrow !

You never know, don’t risk it. Same goes with attitude to ‘dead legs’ these days !

Blimey, and I thought Bob Marley’s cause of death was tragic enough.

“Bruised toe” (aka Turf Toe) is a bit more serious than a literal bruised toe. It’s probably an actual sprain and can often require crutches because the pain is so bad you can’t walk on it!
