Pretty happy right now, expectations being exceeded so far.
I’m more worried about having a too good start and our fans reacting how they did to slight blips last season

Thought we were value for money today- Woking looked a decent outfit in the middle of the park but lacked quality where it matters in both boxes; Butler got it spot on not pressing too high and allowing them to play through us.

Defence looked excellent, Boycey my MOTM for a second week running but you couldn’t really fault any of them. Horton impressed today and would be aggrieved to lose his place next game.

The lads look fit and well drilled, didn’t panic when Woking had their spells of possession and broke fast when given an opportunity; Howe right place, right time twice in quick succession was no coincidence.

Only negative really was the keeper error, a clean sheet at home would’ve done his confidence the world of good and the little he had to do in the game he did well. The jury is still out.

Overall more than happy with the opening 2 games though. Well done lads

Not many criticising our performance, but for those who are, just listen to Neil Radley.

Boy, that’s a brutally honest assessment! Wonder if AB would be this forthcoming. Not taking away anything from the Iron performance, you still have to beat whoever turns up to play, and we certainly did that. Possibly if Woking were as shite as Ardlet believes, we should have had a couple more!

After such a damning critique, it will be interesting to see if he gets a negative or positive reaction from the players over the next few weeks. I’ll wager he won’t. They may well think, ‘you need to take some of the blame here for how you set us up, formation, tactics, etc’. Unless he follows up with some positive feedback on the training ground, it may all backfire. It’s been proven time and again throwing players under the bus is often folly.

If you don’t get a positive response it can cost you your job. Ask tangoman.
