The nub of the matter for me is that the merch kicked out by the Terrace is pretty tight-arsed naff, generic guff, quite thoughtless and lacking in intelligent design. If it was exceptional, they might have been confident enough to leave the Trust’s efforts alone.
June 9, 2025 at 10:55 am #305587It’s cost them the merch profits trust members would buy,I’d imagine a very small amount .Which makes it more stupi

So what you’re saying is that “the community Club” threatened to sue the Trust, the fan organisation which had only recently helped the Club by securing an Asset of Community Value (ACV) designation for Glanford Park – essential in buying enough time to save it. What a very bad look for the Club.

Probably means they would have funded Terrace’s legal bills or something?
June 9, 2025 at 6:35 pm #305615I’d love to know who’s driving this seemingly anti trust agenda

And why?
June 9, 2025 at 6:44 pm #305617So I can direct my ire properly
June 9, 2025 at 7:16 pm #305624Sorry. I mean’t why are they? Not why do you want to know.

June 9, 2025 at 10:31 pm #305653Don’t think anyone is ‘anti trust’.
How you/the trust think it’s acceptable for them to effectively set up their own club shop is the real issue.
What business in their right mind would allow a 3rd party to do such a thing when they have a legally binding contract with another?
June 10, 2025 at 10:22 am #305696It’s not a club shop, it’s the trust shop which should benefit the club

It’s more nuanced than ‘Shop B setting up in direct commercial competition with Shop A and selling Shop A’s product’.

June 10, 2025 at 11:11 am #305703Nah I’m more anti club.
June 14, 2025 at 10:26 am #305842The Trust is independent and represents 1200 voices, whereas I believe UNITY was prompted by the club to put a paper trail to a certain persons random/ad-hoc/unaccounted fundraising. UNITY sprung up from the remnants of SUOSC which had been heavily influenced by people who work at the club Jerry (ticket office supremo) and Earl (matchday experience entry technician).
Hence the current splits in UNITY, which was doomed the moment it tried to fallout with the Iron Trust, then has it turned out very dodgy characters involved with certain predilections for young ladies of questionable age. Allegedly.
The question for me is where are the former SUOSC shares? Are they independent or under the control of UNITY.
Maybe Qwerty can answer as this person seems to represent an insider knowledge of Trust/club matters?

We never did find out about those shares?
