Still trying to work out why he came on. Only 50/50 for the game and we have another on Wednesday. We were well in control and took an unnecessary risk IMO.

September 20, 2025 at 5:14 pm #311402Dawson looks a natural in that position.
Who knew?September 20, 2025 at 5:20 pm #311403Certainly passed a few in the race to be Whitehalls understudy. Cracking debut and deserved goal.
September 20, 2025 at 5:25 pm #311404Did Ewing go off injured? Or just taking it easy?
September 20, 2025 at 5:30 pm #311405Well done Joey Dawson! This doubting Thomas delighted to eat Humble pie this evening. The next 4 games will show us exactly where we are in this division. Glad that we have defenders coming back ( JB should have completed his head injury protocol by Wednesday) and Whitehall is being nursed through. Happy days !
September 20, 2025 at 6:01 pm #311406Well after the first twenty minutes the game as a contest was over, Truro were awful and pulled, pushed niggled and fouled all game, they got what they deserved IMO and those 61 travelling fans should get a medal coming all that way to support garbage. As for the Iron a really professional performance and if Dawson can keep fit then Beck can go, great turn and first goal plus won countless balls in the air resulting in some clever flick ons. A goal and an assist plus a good overall showing was excellent and all in 60 odd minutes. Hope Ewing being sub was just precautionary and as for Whitehalls twenty minute cameo before being subbed, I reckon they were testing him out for Wednesday. Good performance Iron well played all.

September 20, 2025 at 6:07 pm #311408Sounds like Ewing was precautionary, not sure why Whitehall was brought on/off or what’s happened with Boyce.
Routine win against a very poor side, thought Dawson looks a player and provides us with some real competition up top now, Beestin and evans excellent.
Big tests coming up now against sides in/around us but couldn’t have really asked for a better start. Superb stuff all round.
September 20, 2025 at 6:14 pm #311410Not a bad performance from anyone today – all excellent. Ref could’ve pulled up Truro more on the pulling malarkey but good no one reacted to it. They really faded second half and gave up the ghost after the second
September 20, 2025 at 6:15 pm #311411Dawson played some intelligent stuff. Chadwick played well for his 20mins I thought
September 20, 2025 at 6:15 pm #311412Top job all round.
September 20, 2025 at 8:20 pm #311413Maybe 2 out and 2 in next week according to AB. Brogan & Eze didn’t make the squad today so look likely candidates, dare we hope that Beck is one? Looks like we made a mistake with Eze if he’s not in the 18 when JB, Rose & Boyce are out, can we terminate?
September 20, 2025 at 9:39 pm #311415And then there was two!
Only FGR and ourselves undefeated now.
September 20, 2025 at 9:58 pm #311416FGR should have been defeated last Saturday!
