Like a lot of people I enjoy messing around with a power tool.

I’ve recently enjoyed some spark inducing grinding with an angle grinder.

    What’s your favourite tool?

Is this 64 click bait? He might struggle to narrow it down to one.

If we’re being facetious can I nominate Robbie Savage. He’s a tool but he’s an okay bloke really.

No click bait, just a mass debate.

    AWAITING VAR DECISION

    It’s been allowed Jeff!

If you should be using protective gear to go near it you can class it as a tool. Certainly need eye protection near those pearly whites and gloves no doubt for the ronseal tan.

    They all sound incredibly precise.

I usually work to the nearest foot.

I’m still fond of my plane. The tool that planes against the grain.

I’m still fond of my plane. The tool that planes against the grain.

Reminds me. Many years ago, my Dad decided to adjust the bottom of a door after having a new carpet.

He didn’t use a plane. Decided to go with a jigsaw.

The adjustment was neither straight or precise. It was just about possible to limbo underneath.

I have no qualms with getting some of the cheap and cheerful tools. They generally do for me as a DIYer instead of a craftsmen.

I haven’t had a walk round Hemswell for many years, but they had a variety og vintage tools. You can tell the difference in the quality of steel used from some of today’s cheapo chinese fodder.

Finally thought of one: this excellent bottle capper, made by Farrari in Italy. Never let me down. Caps like a dream:

Red? Farrari? Italy? Does it come with a pit crew?
