It’s never good to blow one’s own trumpet. It makes you appear like you’re trying to convince yourself and doesn’t really convince others.

Cannot wait for the play off semi, I have been invited up to watch…and why not?
Guaranteed ticket for 2 people,(will have to bring the wife) overnight stay, and a restaurant meal after the game, all from two Scunthorpe friends i made watching a couple of away games!…. thats how fans should respect each other, no hatred, plenty of banter, and a barrow load of respect.
Just the way I would treat any Scunny fan at Ilkeston!

This might mean something if I thought I was some great shakes and not a flawed person like everyone else on this forum.

Ypu should let the club know Patrick, they might ask you to be the guest speaker before the game. It usually involves a Q&A session which could be interesting plus you could check out the pre-match catering.

What I do know is last week, when we were voting with either hilton option vote or not we were given a list of players who were committed to stay, but only if we voted yes.
The star striker Montel Gibson was on that list. The club put out a offical update 29 hours after the vote he left !!!!!!

Well knock me down with a feather .. Hilton likes his lists, i recall a huge plot of land in Scunny was on his list to purchase and build a 20k stadium.

Mr Gibson left or released or ???? either way he dropped lucky as best off out of the ensuing carnage coming the clubs way.

Was Cam Wilson on that list ?

It’s this kind of guilt tripping and lies that already scream red flag and why I worry for Matlock.

No doubt it will be because Gibson is a rotter out to get Dave, like it was for Bru, Bury AFC, Matt Slater, George Taft, the FA, every business that filed a CCJ and every Tom, Dick and Harry.

Did not Montel request to be released from his contract since the vote mtfcfan, because he wanted to play at an higher level.

If there were any lies it appears to be from Montel.
And I am correct in saying that Hilton wasn’t on the board prior to the vote, so was just your fellow season ticket holders announcing the narrative.

Montel may not have said that he was committed to staying. That was a claim put forward by others. It’s funny how these shenanigans always follow Dave and it’s always others being duplicitous.

Hot shot DeGirolamo joins the Gladiators
Matlock Town are pleased to announce the signing of striker Diego DeGirolamo from Buxton FC. Diego, who has played for the likes of Sheffield United and Chesterfield, joined Buxton in 2018 and has played a major part in their success, scoring 120 goals in 229 appearances for the Bucks. The powerful centre forward will add a real threat to the Gladiators’ front line for the 25/26 season.
    Welcome to the Gladiators, Diego!

Just a hint of familiarity here?

Not a bad effort Dave, completely omitted the club being evicted from Glanford Park and then squatting there. He managed to make defrauding a council of £68k sound like a parking ticket. It’s ok though he didn’t walk into a bank with a sawn off shotgun or do anything to kids.
Players never missed a payment apart from the final month, better not mention Taft then, and even that final month is ok because he told Michelle about it, but no mention of the £70+k raised by fans to help pay it after he pulled the plug.
The 1899 money is just £72k that came and went as part of the £1 million he apparently lost overall, cry me a river.

Fair interview I thought, “people don’t invest in non league clubs there either donations or loans” resonates.
And still like his attitude of getting the business done early when it comes to getting players in.
I miss that feel good factor from the club.
Time will tell of course but wish him well. Lol.

Tom, who has previously played for Nuneaton, Darlington and Hednesford, joined the Bucks in the 19/20 season, spending five years with the Derbyshire club where he became known for a tremendous assist record of one every two games.

    And another, history repeats.

Thought Patdick rather blotted his copybook today, running on the pitch waving his hands around over his bald head then vaulting back over the DRE wall to disappear into his drugged up pals, takes all sorts I guess.
