So frustrating to watch. Sutton go down to 10 men on Saturday and are literally all over us for the last 20 minutes of the game. We go down to 10 and can’t get out of our half! Only a matter of time before we’re behind if we carry on like this.
The big difference was Sutton were behind and chasing the game, they had nothing to lose.

August 25, 2025 at 7:26 pm #310379Bigleftoe: I honestly don’t know if football’s the sport for you if that’s what you take from today’s game.
Guess that’s why I’ve already got my tickets for Brackley away next weekend end then.
It’s an historic observation, teams tend to do well against us when they go down to 10 men whilst we always struggle.
August 25, 2025 at 8:59 pm #310387Great point today considering the circumstances. Horton stupid sending off and were missing key players. Starbuck today was incredible. I can’t believe how much better he looks compared to last season.

August 25, 2025 at 10:10 pm #310391Starbuck seems to have improved massively from last season. Didn’t think he’d be a long term option at right back but he’s proving that assumption wrong so far.
August 25, 2025 at 10:18 pm #310394With Rose going off today with a possible hamstring injury it’s a good job Starbuck is playing well, we don’t want him getting injured or we could be struggling for a right back. I think his confidence has taken a boost and he feels a proper part of the squad now, last season he had a question mark hanging over him, not anymore he looks very comfortable in the team now.
August 26, 2025 at 4:05 am #310401Walking wounded considered im going for 1-1
Att 5,056 inc 367 awayMoney… as those Yanks yell.
Well spotted Rene , not to far off the gate n away total either and the 50 quid back for a tenner was most welcome and shall go towards a cultural experience this coming weekend.
More worrying with so many injuries im predicting the games at Sutton and v Halifax could well derail our fantastic start and ultimately the season ..
Whall
Beestin
Howe
Rose
Rowley played with a knock
Anymore ive missed ???? or to add in up coming fixtures would be a disaster , really hoping non are long term.UTI
August 26, 2025 at 8:37 am #310405A couple of injuries and we struggle to play the tempo of football witnessed so far. Don’t expect 100mph every game and 20 shots but when we play to Becks strengths we look devoid. Nobody reads his flick ons at all.
It’s an awkward watch. Great battling performance but an awkward first 40 mins where we created very little.
The subs didn’t bring much to the team bar fresh legs to chase.
Back 5 was excellent. What’s the injury status with Beestin and Whitehall?

August 26, 2025 at 9:07 am #310407Regarding Whitehall and Beestins injuries AB said on Humberside after the game both should be ok for Saturday and Whitehall almost played yesterday he was that close to being fit.
August 26, 2025 at 11:05 am #310416We sure do miss Whitehall when he’s not leading the line. Halifax had a bit of an injury crisis themselves and were playing Josh Hmami, a winger, at centre back and even with 11 men we couldn’t really capitalise on it with Beck up top.
