Hopefully. I see Mahady was on the bench for Scotland U21’s the other night, no word about that from the club so assuming he’s left the building?
October 10, 2025 at 10:04 pm #312150Shouldn’t have on a month’s loan?
October 11, 2025 at 11:13 am #312160I think it was only a short term loan to cover the York game. When he was interviewed after the game he said he would come back in a heartbeat if we wanted him.
October 11, 2025 at 7:25 pm #312207I think the youth loan is for a month, but only if required
October 11, 2025 at 7:50 pm #312208As I understood it
October 11, 2025 at 8:31 pm #312212Rory was about 14th in the running for MOM for the second Saturday in a row.
October 12, 2025 at 9:14 am #312214Should have been wearing a cap yesterday in the first half. UTWI
October 12, 2025 at 10:13 am #312218Said before poor management not making the goalie take a cap out when there’s a low setting sun, told Rory before the match at Sutton in 2022 didn’t take any notice then begged for a cap from a fan during the first half, doesn’t appear to have learned if that was the case yesterday.
Worst one I saw was at Barnsley can’t remember who was in goal but just didn’t see the ball at all when they scored bugger me he to then got a cap from the crowd.October 12, 2025 at 10:48 am #312220Worst one I saw was at Barnsley can’t remember who was in goal but just didn’t see the ball at all when they scored bugger me he to then got a cap from the crowd.
Jak Alnwick. Straight at him from forty yards, and all he could do was flap at it. The sun was blinding from the far right corner that day, and yet didn’t think about a cap till it was too late.
Yesterday was as bad; Rory frequently using his hands to shade his eyes from the sun, but not considering a cap at any point…?

October 12, 2025 at 11:13 am #312222So unprofessional when will they ever learn.
Shouldn’t be a choice for the keeper the manager must insist on it, we had no choice on what we could and couldn’t wear on the steelworks. what role does mussie play in all this very little imo.October 12, 2025 at 1:25 pm #312227Health and safety at work act, Rory must wear a cap when it’s sunny to stop him going blind when peering into the sun?, well maybe not.
October 12, 2025 at 1:48 pm #312232‘told Rory before the match at Sutton in 2022 didn’t take any notice’
Similar to those fans you told to go home at half time at Harrogate by the sounds of it.
October 12, 2025 at 2:37 pm #312237Was right though he ended up wearing one, and I didn’t tell them to go home only encouraged. Depends which protests were acceptable in the end the pitch invading and tennis balls did the trick.
Thinking back I can’t believe we stayed till halftime at Harrogate.October 12, 2025 at 3:10 pm #312239How some react to our ‘goalkeeper crisis’… the dynamic duo need to enter the arena wearing cheekpieces, eye shields, a visor, blinkers, a hood and a tongue strap :-)
October 12, 2025 at 3:28 pm #312241Wearing Kenny Everett’s “Brother Lee Love” gloves might help!

October 12, 2025 at 7:08 pm #312246A lot of keepers don’t like caps because it hinders peripheral and upwards vision – even when there is sun.
Oddly enough, I know one keeper who will only wear a cap when it’s raining because he tells me the ph content in rainwater can hinder vision and also cause sore eyes – but if the sun is cracking flags he won’t wear one.
I’ve never played professionally in goal though so don’t think I’m qualified to offer a firm opinion either way.
