On the fanbase site it tells me that tickets are not available yet for our first home league game if the season. This is only 9 days away!!

I wrote to SUFC a few days ago about this. They have yet to reply.

    I won’t hold my breath.

I managed to buy one for my Dad on Tuesday. The next time I looked, they were off sale again.

I’m also unsure about the idea of car park tickets being on a phone app – though we’ll be off the public highway when needing to show them (and so hopefully not committing a traffic offence), the idea of being expected to mess around with a phone with the engine running seems daft – if they introduce charges for cards, these should be exempt.

The “Buy tickets” link on the OWS is just a broken link that takes you to an error page. Amateur hour!

Chaos down at the AA this morning, minimal staff trying their best to printout new plastic card season tickets ( a lot of people wanting plastic cards and not the phone based option and who can blame them with what’s going on so far ) also another member of staff taking care of shirt sales etc and both overworked as a result. I just walked out and will return another day for my plastic card, it’s unfair on the staff, apparently the fanbase system isn’t printing paper tickets for Tuesday nights game against Sunderland U21’s, not that I’m going but if that’s the case it’s just another glitch in the system to be ironed out. What thought process believed introducing a new ticketing system less then a fortnight before a new season begins would run smoothly without issues? It’s just ridiculous and like the late kit launch has been badly thought through IMO. I will try to get my new card next week when hopefully things will have quitened down and some order has been restored.

Seems to be working again; just bought a ticket for the Halifax game for my Dad in the Fanbase app.

The tickets link on the OWS won’t work now unless they decide to link it to Fanbase at some point in the future, which I doubt will happen if they’re wanting people to use the app for whatever spurious benefits the club perceive – ‘the ability to upsell’ just adds a pointless stage to the process for me when they try to sell me parking despite knowing I already have a West Stand parking pass. That’s not a ‘smoother ticketing journey’ as far as I’m concerned.

Obviously they should now be linking the tickets page on the OWS to an information page about Fanbase, but perhaps that’s just too sensible.

They have made that link now, or at least redirecting to that site.

‘despite a few early technical glitches, our new ticketing system is like making love to a beautiful woman.’

When you say minimal you mean one person Ironawe just been down myself served 2 people in twenty minutes so like you I came away.

Jerry and Andy Brown running the shop side of things and doing a sterling job, well other than Andy went round the back to get a medium shirt and gave the grandson an xxxl in a bag he didn’t open it till he got home, shock horror. Argh well on the positive side was having to go down again for the season ticket so whats to moan at.

Well maybe a new system shouldn’t have been left till late for one, and maybe the default should have been a card for everyone so they could have printed everyone’s off at once with just a quick pickup and left the phone jobby till later on.

Just saying mind cause they’re f ing useless.

Judging by the timing of his posts over the last few years I think xxx finishes about 4pm so he might be along soon to randomly have a pop at most posters who criticise club operations (apart from you awaywego) in his inimitable ‘style’.

Still no idea how to purchase tickets for the car park. The official Twitter (X) account of SUFC say’s you just choose “Add On” in the app, but I cannot see that anywhere. Anyone else had joy?

When purchasing a ticket for the Woking game there was an add on once you selected your seat SodIron.

Another Brain fart to implement a new ticketing system a week before the season is due to start. Really has been a poor close season

Finally got my ticket. Can’t see much difference between the two systems. But at least it is up and running.

I’m a ST holder so didn’t have any options to pre-book/pay for parking!
