Creationism (note I am not saying Christianity or belief in deities) has been laughed out if court and scientific consensus many times. The ideas of a global flood were rubbished from the 18th century, ever since James Hutton.

One final question,all you atheists on here,would you admit even though you don’t think there is a Creator of the universe and all things,you would love for it to be true and have eternal life in Heaven with Him?
The reason I ask this question is because all the atheists I have spoken to ,not one has ever said to me, “Bill you are completely wrong in your belief ,but I would love it if it were true.” Any thoughts?

If your belief is correct it would be nice, you’ll never know though as your terminal breath will be just that, nothing afterwards absolutely nothing.

but bill that’s all you ever have to offer, quotations from a book which has no relevance to many people because it’s more like a collection of serious fairy stories rather than anything you can use in serious discussion. When your core beliefs are taught from birth and instilled every Sunday, if not more regularly, it would be difficult to move against that belief. All of the successful religions include bombarding the young with adherence, and promises of great things if they are subservient. People find it difficult to break away from the beliefs that have been installed for years, so when science shows something against that belief they push against the science, and in the case of Stephen Meyer they respond with pseudoscience like intelligent design. We don’t know how the universe came to being (so can’t rule out the possibility of a creator) but we can be pretty certain that evolution exists and that we are descended from early apes (against the Christian genesis). Many Christians accept evolution, and see the biblical account as not literal.

Jesus was not Palestinian, he was Judean. If you were to go back and ask him, he would have been confused at the term, which wasn’t used for another century when Hadrian wanted to remove Jewish links to the area.

Who needs rigorous research into complex biology, that goes over most non-specislists’ heads, when you can have YouTube videos from people of obvious agendas cherry picking and distorting the science? That’s definitely a reliable way of providing evidence.
