I’m sure we had 8999 against The Millers years ago.
May 12, 2025 at 1:56 pm #304368I’m a Chester fan who lives in Lincolnshire. Looking forward to the game next week.
Any suggestions of where to park? When we played you in March I parked in the ground car park but need another option in case it’s full. Can you park in the nearby retail park or is the best bet some residential streets? The Berkeley pub(might charge don’t know), the offices the other side of the petrol station best option.
I park in the housing estate when I go but as its going to be a big crowd might be busyPosted this further up the thread for the Chester Bods.
Taxis if your coming by train normally will pick you up at roundabout before gates to take you back to town
May 12, 2025 at 2:04 pm #304369People will still park along Gunness straight for a game like this, I imagine. People often park in the Berkeley area (Stanley Rd, Lister Rd etc), but I suspect that will be packed.
I remember when we played Grimsby in the cup over a decade ago and many abandoned their cars on the M181 because traffic jams were risking them missing kick off. I don’t recommend that now.

capacity is 9,0XX but i read some where the away end will have the front 2 rows of seats covered and something else about some seats covered for segregation.
Around about 8,800 – 8,900 ish looks likely.
As for the Chester fans parking issues … hopefully most will be leaving early due to a convincing Iron lead (half time would be nice)

May 12, 2025 at 2:29 pm #304375Tesco is 3 hours limit and I got fined £40 the day of the Peterborough game for being about 15 minutes over.
Number plate recognition and evidence photos in place. Gallagher retail park (B&Q, Next, Aldi etc.) has specific no football traffic signage.
30 minutes to get out of the car park might not be a bad idea. Street parking probably going to be half an hours walk away from 14:30 – 15:00.

I did notice this last time – are you allowed to park up there?
Think the retail park might be dicing with a fine so hopefully find a quiet ish residential street
May 12, 2025 at 4:15 pm #304378You couldn’t make it up the club said they’d release tickets not taken up by season ticket holders at 4pm, then 15 mins ago they now say they’ll be re release them over the course of the evening ffs.

Cmon guys if Awaywego didn’t see his a*** at least once a day over the club it wouldn’t be a normal day now would it?
May 12, 2025 at 6:38 pm #304384Like your ‘f’ everyone else attitude there Cass.
May 12, 2025 at 9:23 pm #304389Agree with Awaywego…season ticket holders have had plenty of time to sort their tickets and a deadline of 4pm today was quite clearly stated. 4pm comes then they should all be released there and then!
May 12, 2025 at 9:55 pm #304391Agree they have had plenty of time but I guess if the club have told people to email instead of ring as they can’t answer the phone then they have to make sure that the season ticket holders are all dealt with.
Fingers crossed there are plenty left for the rest of us when they are released!!May 13, 2025 at 8:38 am #304392Wow 9.55 Irishscunny and still not released them.
May 13, 2025 at 9:02 am #304395‘Thank you for your patience, we have worked this evening to clear the backlog of emails on our account.
We are now in a position to release the remaining season reservations, which will take place at around 10.30pm, with the remaining allocation then available via sufctickets.com.
This availability is highly limited around the ground, and we do expect to sell out.’
May 13, 2025 at 9:06 am #304396Wow 9.55 Irishscunny and still not released them.
These folks are working their a***s off, give them a break.
Released last night , see Deerey above.May 13, 2025 at 9:40 am #304397Its not the individuals it’s the messaging, bring it forward move it back is just not good enough for a supposedly professional outfit, take last night would seem the announcement of the 10.30pm came out at around 10pm.
Once failing to achieve the 4.30pm start time why not postpone for 24hrs so everyone had the same chance instead of leving people dangling.
Its not that hard to be consistent, and what’s gone wrong this time from the Chorley game not like we’ve got more season ticket holders to deal with and they’ve had an extra couple of days of selling them than the Chorley game.May 13, 2025 at 10:02 am #304398As far as I can tell they spent the afternoon and evening contacting people in the order their emails arrived.Sounds long winded but fair. They’re certainly working hard to be fair .Please note I am not commenting on the fairness of the system .You not agreeing doesn’t make them wrong.
May 13, 2025 at 10:04 am #304399If they postponed for 24 hours (to 4.30 Tuesday) and then found they could have released the tickets at 10.30 Monday they’d probably be accused of causing an unnecessary 18 hour delay. No win situation for the staff I reckon.
May 13, 2025 at 10:32 am #304400Nah it’s rubbish and very amateurish. You set a time to release tickets you either stick to it or if you have to move the goalposts (again!) at least do it so that it gives people a chance to see when they’re being moved to.
The only way you knew they’d be released last night at “around 10:30pm” was if you were still up at 10pm and watching their social media feed like a hawk!
This whole situation has been caused by allowing season ticket holders to purchase 4 tickets each, which was a stupid and unnecessary decision.

Totally agree.
If you state 14:00 on Saturday Wave 1 then stick to it, Not 06:00 Saturday morning as I found out at 10:00. Too late
The changes have been numerous and like you state you either go through the statement of 7th April and proof read it several times a day or watch for updates on Social media like a Hawk 24/7.
Don’t do X,FB etc but fortunately picked up on it.It’s the older folk that potentially not knowing to the above.

If I’d have known it was a free for all on season tickets I would have asked several folk whom I know, Just thought I’ll be patient get mine easily on Saturday afternoon at 14:00 what a mistake this was.
May 13, 2025 at 11:07 am #304402The amount of “life long” fans that haven’t got tickets is laughable.
May 13, 2025 at 11:12 am #304404I agree to an extent with some of the things said on here. If you state a day and time for each ‘wave’ to run, you stick absolutely to it. You don’t change it on the hoof just because you’ve sold what you expected to sell in that wave early in that wave’s allotted time.

I expect they knew they were going to sell out and wanted to get it over and done with asap, rather than waiting round for hours at the arse-end of each wave.

Is it? I’m glad you’re having a good chuckle about it.
I’m a lifelong fan and haven’t been able to get a ticket even though I’ve been to probably more games and put in many more hours travelling to/from games this season than a lot of those who have managed to get one. But because we’re a tinpot outfit in a tinpot league my away games don’t count towards these shoddy “loyalty” points (emailed the club and they basically replied “tough titty sonny Jim!”).
Never not been able to get a ticket to the biggest games over the last 20 years (Tranmere away, Huddersfield at home, Charlton away, the Wembley trips, Manure at home, Reading at home, previous playoff games etc etc). So where have all these “loyal” fans suddenly come from??
I mistakenly did the same as RB above. I don’t know any season ticket holders and declined Awaywego’s offer to get one thinking “Glanny Park has never sold out in my lifetime, I’ll easily be able to get one in General Sale phase 2.” Lesson learnt, at least it’s still watchable via DAZN.

It’s brought out the worst in our fans that’s for sure, although that’s not hard.

May 13, 2025 at 2:48 pm #304409Increasingly fine with not being able to go and watching on DAZN tbh.

1 STH = 1 POF ticket? It’s discriminatory allowing a ST holder to be able to preferentially purchase 4 tickets.
Very poor imho.
