Just a really good match to watch with four excellent goals, thoroughly deserved win by the Iron, worked really hard and epitomised by Beestin who ran his nuts off again for the cause. Plenty of good individual performances but the team ethic was spot on today despite missing some good players and others being patched up, well done boys you were awesome.

March 22, 2025 at 7:28 pm #300200Guess Humbersides finest forgot to bring the sniffer dog I counted 10 pyros from Chester and 1 from us, don’t think the steward’s caught anyone throwing them.
March 22, 2025 at 7:33 pm #300201It was good to see a good game in front of a bumper crowd
March 22, 2025 at 7:55 pm #300204Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.
Thought the community day was executed well, thousands spending money at the ground 90minutes before kick off and plenty for people to do.
Team finally show up for a big game and the manager gets everything spot on. Apart from that idiot on the pitch at half time a nearly perfect day.
Well done to everyone.

March 22, 2025 at 9:18 pm #300214That Mo goal wasn’t quite Sparrow and Sheffield Utd but what a release from the fans when he scored it

23,381 at Bradford in L2 yesterday.
March 23, 2025 at 7:40 am #300225So Bradford attracted 4.3% of their cities population whilst 2nd in League 2.
Scunthorpe attracted 10.2% of their towns population. Even the Iron average attendance not counting yesterday beats the Bradford attendance as a percentage of population (4.7%).

March 23, 2025 at 8:19 am #300229what im seeing on the various YT vlogs and SM is that some Scunny fans are thinking because of yesterdays brilliant win we are almost certain to be champs .. one commenting its all but guaranteed us the title.
Yes we are in a decent spot and im more positive and optimistic than i was a while back but thoughts as above are all way way too premature..plenty of twists n turns in this story yet for sure.

Agreed, talk of it being all but done is stupid, if there’s a winner on Tuesday it means the deficit is only one slip up away from Iron dropping off the top spot. There are 6 games to go and each one in its own way looks difficult.
March 23, 2025 at 8:53 am #300238The problems are still there and we’re yesterday, the opposition were stronger in the tackle and quicker to loose balls again, what shone through was a bit better quality which isn’t always the case this season. It felt like a convincing win not a badly managed one
March 24, 2025 at 2:25 am #300338Crikey … i know Saturdays fantastic win was huge but as my earlier post im seeing even more fans on SM Fb etc now assuming its guaranteed us the title , “we are champions” , “going up” as though its already done .. PLEASE get a grip way to many variables and this IMO is sheer folly , its madness they call it madness and one step beyond sanity.
Please CALM DOWN dont buy the champagne ,make the T shirts or book the open top bus until its won … out title aspirations could well be derailed by all the rumours of this coup style “takeover”.

Some big gates in L1 & L2 last Saturday.
Perhaps PL games should all take place on Sundays and a game at 7:30pm Friday, Saturday & Monday evening.
It might help out the attendances at L1&2 on an ongoing basis then. -
