‘Many of you have changed tunes quite a lot down the years,’

Put it down to evolution / getting older and wiser (in my case anyway) awaywego ;)

If he is being drip fed then he should put the messenger in his place can’t be advocating fan groups to be unified then go listening to one person pushing an agenda, well not without looking to see what there saying is correct and worthy of comment.
    Hes looking!

Halifax’s equaliser was dreadful defending once again.

We were 4 v 4 in the box when the ball went in.

We had a 2 (us) v 1 (them) at the near post area and a 2 (us) v 3 (them) at the far post area. Why?

From the footage… Evans seems to be in no man’s land. He appears to just watch the ball go past him. Could he not have reacted?

The scorer, Kawa pushes Boyce out of play and then gets back and past Belehouan (I believe) to pick up a free knock down header from Tarima.

Bray was also on the scene and would most likely have slotted home if Kawa hadn’t.

Pretty shocking defending to be honest.

View from about 9min 55sec to see their goal

I see Jarrod Bowen apologized to fans after reacting to comments last night, I wonder if Butler will do the same.
Interestingly enough Potter called for unity between the fans and the club not between different fan groups.

    Why would he ?
I guarantee if you were the manager awaywego you would be 10 times more “prickly” than AB and wouldn’t care less what anyone said.

Not that interested but I think Potter’s probably one more defeat away from the sack and from what I can tell Bowen retaliated to some fan abuse and apologised. Different context entirely to the situation with Butler’s comments. If he apologises at all I suspect it will be under instruction from the Board so it would all be tokenism. Don’t really care either way tbh. The ones who seem to care the most are those that overstepped from lively criticism to insults and abuse.

Sorry to say Mick, you’ve now been banned from GP by Butler!

Campbell was in no mans land for the goal.

Kawa, the goal scorer shoves Boyce out of the game

Evans really is in no man’s land. Their 3 out muscle and out jump our 2 to head the ball back in to a central position.

Having pushed Boyce out of the game, Kawa turns and gets past our 2nd man, getting to the ball first and slotting home. Our two couldn’t cancel out their one!

    Evans a mere spectator.
Their Bray (ginger hair) also contests the race to score – if Kawa hadn’t, then he would have!

    Terrible defending – again!

Having watched the goal on the highlights a few times just now, I wouldn’t judge Maison to be in no man’s land for the equaliser. He’s on his front post (no defender is). Main problem is no Iron player spotted Terima running in on the far post (or were over ran as we we’re already down to 10 men), unmarked for a simple nod down to two Halifax players with only Maison to beat unless one of ours intercepts. He’s directly behind the ball when the shot was taken. I admit to being a defender of Campbell but after numerous replays I think it’s more a case of us being over run down to 10 men and Halifax capitalising on that. If there’s any finger pointing I’d blame Horton for the red mist. That goal may well have not happened had he not been foolishly sent off.

Hopefully they’ve being working on the following this week:

    1) pressing
    2) closing down quickly
    3) tracking runners
    4) winning first balls
    5) winning second balls
    6) deploying a guard for the GK at corners & free kicks
    7) how to spot an overload and match up
    8) being strong and not getting shoved out of play
    9) reacting quickly within the six & 18 yard box
    10) winning defensive headers
    11) being first to the ball

    Good luck boys.
    Let’s have a clean sheet.

£26 million for the best goalkeeper in the world. £55 million for the sixth best striker in the Premier League.

It would seem that keepers are massively undervalued!

Also defenders are undervalued in comparison to strikers, Liverpool offered £35 million for Mark Guehi, great defender IMO yet splashed out £90 million more on Isak, always been the way.
