Also plagiarism. Noticed a similar ‘ladz bantz’ comment by someone else on social media (not wondergoals or any other name he goes by) on X last night, in relation to Roberts’ goal.

“Lads bantz” refers to British informal, playful teasing, mocking, or witty remarks exchanged among a group of young men. It is commonly used in social contexts, such as the “Lads Bantz Cup” in fantasy football, to describe lighthearted banter and camaraderie. The term has its roots in 19th-century UK.
Definition: Bants or bantz represents playful, often ironic, banter.
Origin: “Lads” stems from Old English, meaning a young man or fellow, with roots in Northern England and Scotland.
Usage: It is heavily linked with laddish culture and camaraderie.

It’s predominant habitat is the Iron Hour Podcast.

I guess it’s a modern take on talking bollocks, there’s plenty of that going on in the IHP.

I see this forum is as joyful as ever. Hand on heart, I can’t say I’ve missed it. From the outside looking in, you really need to lighten up. If I was watching this board as a viewer, I wouldn’t bother signing up.

Far too serious. Full of old miserable gits.

Deerey is the equivalent to ordering a modern day Victor Meldrew from wish.

Poor attempt at lightening up as decreed by Mr Hiatus, who joins an illustrious club that includes reasonable types like Alcazar, Pat O’Cake and Bad Apple. Though I’m not sure even they would stoop to dropping Americanisms like ‘gotten’ instead of ‘got.

Gotten actually has old English roots and was used in Britain until the 19th century, when it became obsolete. It’s why “ill gotten gains” exists in British English as a relic of when it was used more frequently. Americans didn’t have the same drop in trend, which is why it is a thing there still.

    Greylag, Brianiron and Heath.

Not sure they took their ball home though or felt the need to remind everyone how missed they’d been.

I think there might be several of us who could leave quietly but not by choice, which could explain some absentees.

Have the rules changed? Is it now legal to have your toes across the sideline and onto the pitch when taking a throw?
By my reckoning the throw which led to their goal on Tuesday was duff and the goal should have been disallowed.
If the former rules do apply – how come so many illegal throws are missed by the officials?

Would players have got away with placing ball for corners virtually outside the quad in the past?
