Staging a load of tribute bands and local acts will never ever attract 10,000 people for each day. In fact, it’d be lucky to get 500 – 1,000. It represents a massive financial risk.
I’ve seen around 15 acts on the line up… things can only get better…
There are a few one hit wonders and blasts from the past. None of the acts appeal to me in the slightest. I am hoping they have a few decent headliners up their sleeve, otherwise I fear it will flop.

They’re very pally with certain Board members, make that clear.
I don’t really see where you’re coming from. It’s a bit of a wild stretch to lay the ‘blame’ for a music festival (or its line-up) at the feet of Max Bell and his Iron hour fwends.
Attendances
The last time the club’s average attendance exceeded 5,000 (5,548) was in season 2010-11; in the Championship. In the Championship!
The mean of average attendances in the following 13 seasons is 3,857.
Our average home attendance this season is 3,850.
Our average home attendance last season was 4,204
So, we’re just a smidge over 350 per game down on last season.
Cost benefit analysis – what would we have to spend to get back to the ‘heady heights’ of the Chanpionship and an extra 1,691 (average) bums on seats each game?
You’d have to be insane to throw money at that equation!
