Staging a load of tribute bands and local acts will never ever attract 10,000 people for each day. In fact, it’d be lucky to get 500 – 1,000. It represents a massive financial risk.
I’ve seen around 15 acts on the line up… things can only get better…
There are a few one hit wonders and blasts from the past. None of the acts appeal to me in the slightest. I am hoping they have a few decent headliners up their sleeve, otherwise I fear it will flop.March 3, 2025 at 3:36 pm #299614Staging a load of tribute bands and local acts will never ever attract 10,000 people for each day. March 9, 2025 at 11:02 pm #299758Who are the promoters? Sherbert & Dave?
March 10, 2025 at 8:03 am #299761Looks like the line-up is warming up a bit, but I’m still thinking it’s not enough…
March 10, 2025 at 8:06 am #299762Hope it does well but I can’t see it getting any decent numbers.
If anything, the Iron Hour crowd influencing their man on the board again.
March 10, 2025 at 10:06 am #299764Hopefully we have taken a flat fee up front

What makes you say that? I can’t see them holding much sway over anything.

They’re very pally with certain Board members, make that clear.

I don’t really see where you’re coming from. It’s a bit of a wild stretch to lay the ‘blame’ for a music festival (or its line-up) at the feet of Max Bell and his Iron hour fwends.
March 10, 2025 at 1:20 pm #299769Some younger folk have told me the line up so far is not as bad as I think it looks. Maybe hope for it after all.

March 26, 2025 at 4:24 pm #300745Have D-Ream pulled out?

Really? Things Can Only Get Better then.
March 26, 2025 at 4:29 pm #300749It is surely a massive error at this stage not to have a confirmed line-up for the Saturday – and an exceptionally strong one at that. Amateur hour.

What we’ve not got to do is:
“Don’t Let the Bastards Grind You Down” … D-Ream
April 6, 2025 at 4:23 pm #301841I hope we don’t fade to grey.
The club can’t take another year in the NLN… or… can it – nudge, nudge; wink, wink.April 17, 2025 at 6:32 am #302408April 17, 2025 at 11:49 am #302429Security at the weekender could well be an issue if Zanetti has his way ..
quote ” if it doesnt work out its costing a fortune” doesnt bode well ..Isnt Proper Herbert head of security for the weekender ?? get the staff from his buddies out on day release perhaps
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG ????

Attendances
The last time the club’s average attendance exceeded 5,000 (5,548) was in season 2010-11; in the Championship. In the Championship! The mean of average attendances in the following 13 seasons is 3,857.
Our average home attendance this season is 3,850.
Our average home attendance last season was 4,204
So, we’re just a smidge over 350 per game down on last season.
Cost benefit analysis – what would we have to spend to get back to the ‘heady heights’ of the Chanpionship and an extra 1,691 (average) bums on seats each game?
You’d have to be insane to throw money at that equation!
Average attendance 2024/25: 4,399
May 24, 2025 at 11:58 pm #305000Not many there from what I have seen, but a certain short term former PM was snapped by Tom Zanetti at the ground. WTF?
May 25, 2025 at 4:28 am #305001May 25, 2025 at 4:30 am #30500210,000?
