I thought Campbell had another good game and he’s not the reason for the defeat, but looking back at the first goal, could he have done better and at least got a hand to it? It was a pin point rocket, but from that distance I wonder if he would think he should have done better? Just a question. Not blaming him for the defeat.
Our defence was giving their forwards far too much room. In the first half they were pinging out balls to the wingers who were in oceans of space, before our full backs jogged across in an attempt to close them down.
For the goal it was a poor clearance (I think one of our defenders slipped) but Brunt was unmarked on the edge of the area with time to pick his spot.
I don’t blame Campbell. Low and in the corner is always difficult for a keeper.
