Palestine Action are a prescribed group after members committed criminal acts which disrupted our defence system, including a sledgehammer attack on a policewoman. There are prescribed far-right groups and supporting them would lead to arrest, no matter how peaceful it may be. JSO activists also broke the law when they do things like block routes and commit vandalism. They may say law breaking is valid to highlight their cause, but they can’t bemoan the consequences of law breaking. Though, I do think there was less outrage when farmers blocked roads. A lot of pro-Palestinian protest has happened, and this isn’t and shouldn’t be criminal, but the PA supporters weren’t being innocent under the law in supporting a banned group. They could have gone to any other protest and had no issue. So those and these far-right hoodlums aren’t really the same in context. In the protests, the police have often been lapse. They have routinely been weak in keeping pro-Palestinians away from synagogues to harass Jews and they have bedn lapse here, even if the far-right protesters are more likely to act like thugs.
