I don’t think Solihull are as bad as their current league position may suggest.

They had a penalty saved when it was 0-0.
Moors scored first.
The Southend crossbar was rattled once.
In the 92nd minute, at 1-2 down; their keeper went up for a corner.
Southend cleared, broke and had a tap in to an empty goal.

Dyer says that they didn’t have any control of the game; that they didn’t win any second balls and that Solihull pressed & closed throughout. He also mentions that Moors went direct and basically they couldn’t or found it difficult to deal with.
