I don’t think Barrows should be blamed for the Yeovil goal. He was doing what he’d been told to do in the line of defenders. As was Whitehall. This is an organisations/coaching error, not an individual one.
I am a critic of Barrows, but I feel he didn’t have a bad game on Saturday. The 433 set up suits him, he had a wide player to cover him so he didn’t have to scream up and down the touchline. His distribution was marginally better than others and he was not challenged defensively. At the end of the day, he put the ball in, on and around the penalty spot, and yes, the Yeovil defender made a poor clearance and the ball dropped to Brennan for his worldy. Made me feel that if we had reorganised earlier ( half time) and put there defenders under more pressure we would have got further chances!
