It might simply be better preparation for the coming season.
If our players are prepared better and are fitter that would lead to a positive start.
That can erode during the season as players in other teams catch up.
We’re not talking about premier league players or back room staff here.
Small margins. The same happened last season, we started like a train but other teams seemed to improve.
Or, conversely, we went off…when “someone” started meddling.
