You are confused about when the Holy Bible was written (minimising it to the Gospels of Matthew,Mark,Luke and John.) Maybe it doesn’t make sense because it hasn’t been properly explained to you? The reason I care is because your eternal life is at stake. I will quote one verse to you,”The wages of sin is death,but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Hey,I am not trying to be “ high handed”,but trying spread the “Good News”message that faith in Jesus Christ leads to Salvation.
