I like that Butler sticks up for his players and protects them. Some seem to say they want their managers to be honest, but the manager has a responsibility for their morale. I know I would hate a boss who would slag me off to others, especially in public, and it would sap me in work. He isn’t a weak touch, he will expect professionalism, as has been said with his drills and organisation. However, he won’t chastise players and let’s them know he supports them. Rather that than Paul Hurst style sniping. I reckon man management is one of Butler’s strengths.
