What about players paying subs (subscriptions) to pay for the pitch and refs like local teams do.
The Guardian Board members wages would be funded by the £0.25p x 5000 a week.
So, technically not costing the club anything.
Would they be Trust or Club employees? – for the club & trust to hammer out the details.
If it was administered / operated by the trust, then they could advertise the position and appoint their selection.
The Trust & supporters are then represented at board meetings, management meetings and are actively working within the club.
The Trust state that their aims are:
• Ensure fans are legal as well as moral stakeholders in the club, by owning shares and representing members at shareholder meetings.
• Work to improve communication between our members and senior management at the club, ensuring a supporter voice is heard before key decisions are made.
•Informing policy-making at the club.

Easy to say – more difficult to achieve.
The word ‘community club’ has being bandied around for a while now.
Something along these lines would make us a true community club.
