If we have a team built on players with League 1/2-level wages, trying to add to a squad with players on NLN wages was always going to be a challenge. I was never that taken on Nicholson, couldn’t ever see him succeeding in a team which was going to dominate possession. Alright as a ‘stopper’ but not much more.
The one that surprises me is Brogan, especially when he was offered a new contract before Christmas. But there’s still time for him to come good, I guess.
