Shares to me are a gift to the club you love. I have had shares since 1981 and the club under David Wraith had an SOS campaign ‘Save our Scunthorpe’ I bought £50 worth on earnings of £25 per week as an apprentice.
I am proud of that and subsequently over many years built up a number of shares. Until this ceased under PS.
I have had another £500 worth of shares since the club takeover.
They are absolutely worthless and always will be, it’s a donation for a bit of paper.
I will tell anybody this though
They are mine, and it’s my gesture of love and support for my club. It’s my own little piece of Scunthorpe United which makes me feel good and proud. Do I expect anything in return, of course not,
I play Euromillions and dream of a winning the jackpot so I can invest more in SUFC a massive part of my life which has over time stretched every personal emotion but more often then not pleasure.
The shares owned by Trust members surely allow all fans to feel the same way whether financially blessed or not.
