Yes, he has been quite unpleasant in my (admittedly quite limited) experience of him, too. Stalwart servant and all that, for which he should certainly be applauded… but quite unpleasant. Charmless or harsh might be a better way to put it?
I should clarify. I think he’s completely entitled to be however he wants to be, or naturally is. However, when he’s in ambassador for the club mode (serving on the ticket window or whatever else), then in my opinion he’s obliged to not be unpleasant, harsh, short, clippy etc, in demeanour.
