Some of these are easier said than done. Everyone wants peace in all wars, but it’s a matter of ensuring long lasting peace and justice for those wrongfully caught up. A ceasefire or end to war in Palestine is welcome, but without return of the hostages it’s unlikely. A ceasefire or end to war in Ukraine would be good, but it’s hard to commit to without rewarding the Russian aggressor. Appeasement doesn’t work and will only lead to Russia being emboldened to push for more in years to come, when their army is strengthened (manpower is the main reason they have any gains, which is embarrassing after trying to showcase how professional their army was before), just as they have done previously. NATO membership for Ukraine would be one way to bring forth some compromise if the hard decisions need to be made, but I can’t see that happening with Trump, so it will be more of the same in all likelihood.
