Plenty to thank you for there Sidey. However … the ‘taken as read’ perspective that she and the majority of US voters may simply be misguided has a whiff of the patronising about it if you don’t mind me saying.
Rory Stewart responded to Alistair Campbells speculation that they had been in a bubble and were too patronising to the voters. The response was priceless. He explained his misjudgement by saying that he is probably too ‘nice’ and too much of an optimist and that’s why he’d called it the way he had! My suggestion to Rory … and others .. would be to listen to others without the assumption that their perspective is totally worthless and to be dismissed without consideration
