That’s journalism for you, as my journalist brother always said ” bad news is good news “. Most people often are more interested in stories that are spicy or controversial than good news stories, you get the odd gooey eyed feel good story pushed into the news, normally around this time of year but by and large it’s the garbage people gobble up, then can’t wait to get on social media to spread it even further.
