Nobody is under any illusion, after last season, that this league is shite and we’re going to see some horrible games
There were some mumbles and grumbles when we were on good form for the first month or so. However, that was the standard fayre for football at this level; realistically, we’re not going to play like Barcelona in NLN and winning at this level usually requires making the least amount of defensive errors, capitalising on opposition’s errors and physicality in midfield. SODIron raises valid points, I think, and Butler, like with Dean, doesn’t seem to know how to play with a plan B.
It worked at first, before opposition could find ways to adapt, but since then it has been poor and we need something to change. Unfortunately, nothing has and Butler seems unwilling to and his interviews where he insists his way is best doesn’t give the best impression that things will change.
