How long before a bump in the road becomes a pothole.
We are top of National North and have scored more goals than any other team, whilst conceding 11 only one more than Curzon Ashton who have played 3 games less.
Most of us are disgruntled with the playing style and lack of tactics, coupled with a lack of striker to partner and compliment Whitehall.
The need to not lose is also costing us dearly. Trying not to concede when winning by a slender margin then drawing is costing us (Chorley and Oxford), poor 0-0 draws (Chester and Radcliffe) more points dropped.
Defeats of 3-2 in the last two away games which account for more than half of our goals conceded. The first of which we absolutely threw away. The other defeat away at Scarborough was a poor game where we failed to compete at all.
Due to our managers negativity and lack of sustained attacking pressure (unlike Tamworth last season) the opposition do not fear us and feel free to have a go.
We need to set the bar so teams after conceding think how to contain us not as they do now how to mount a comeback.
Our fan base, playing squad and resources count for nothing if we continue to play like mice and not lions.
The current strategy is not working and the manager thinks hard work will put right his failings.
Sorry but unless we get change we will need to change.
