I feel the Conservatives will learn the wrong lessons from this. They think they will just need to pander to the right and fail to realise that a large reason why Labour won was that they appealed enough to a broad brush of voters across the country (not just stacking votes in metropolitan areas, as it was in 2017 and 2019) who don’t have that same Reform style politics. I feel there is a limit on the right wing vote, as there was a left wing one with Corbyn. It might win certain areas, but it alienates enough across the country to make it less likely to be a winning strategy in my opinion. I suspect it will be a decade rebuild as the Tories go through their own delusions and civil strife like with Labour under Miliband and Corbyn.
